Feel almost euphoric!

I broke a promise to myself this week.  I had a mini goals to reach 179 lbs, then I would buy me a new pair of trousers.  Well, this week I had so many comments about not being able to see the 30 kg went as I had to do something.  You can see at first friends celebrate with me, with comments "way to go Janice, 30 kg is fantastic" etc etc.  Then, after a day or so I started to get honest comments all in the same spirit.  Janice drag your clothes "a bit and let me see the difference"-I would be able to bundle up my clothes so that they could see the difference.  Then they told that they could not see the difference that I was always dressed in the same clothes as it was hidden.

  My tax check, well, this week, so I thought I should go buy a pair of trousers to celebrate a bit early.  Last Friday I went to look.  I am not sure which size I was, I am usually in plus department store.  This time I was in standard size clothes Wooo Hooo-I can't remember when I could shop at this title of a shop! I started with size 15 pants with my fingers crossed.  Employee told me to take a smaller size, even as they were fit comfort (not it sounds horrible?  It is just that they have lycra threads in them to make them more comfortable) I took them but I knew that they would not fit and me I called her all types of names to make me go into the changing room with a small size which would make me feel defeated when they would fit!  I got to the changing rooms and ignore the smaller size pants and prepared to be defeated in size 15!  THEY WERE GREAT!  I quickly pushed them aside and tried on size 13.  THEY WERE GREAT!  I asked the Assistant to go get a smaller size and tried them on the RECEIVED the RIGHT SIZE!!!!!!!!!!!!Yes, in comfort fit I size 11 regular!!!!Now, you've learned that it means that I am probably a 13 or 14 of regular pants and I'm OK with that.  :)

Now is when I get happy so I went out and found a few peaks would also show the difference and it went with my pants.  I am quite top heavy, so I XL peaks but I'm working on it and I know I can do this. 

This week I have been able to get two pairs of pants that I haven't worn in years-in fact, I forget them in the dark recesses are in my closet, I dressed in a couple of them when I met a friend who I haven't seen in months.  She told me I was looking fantastic, that she never saw me see this "thin" (not really thin but do you know what I mean) she said I look higher.  This may be so, but I am thinking that I carry myself more as I don't try to suppress or slouch as I did, I'm more proud of myself these days-can hope that pride not precede a decline eh!

I have been a part of MJS "Break the habit of" challenge for the last five weeks.I was afraid of failure at the beginning and was very nervous about others to know how I did it in detail but it has been the best for me.It has really helped me to focus, so I will continue to do so even when the challenge is over another week; If you've ever thought about joining a challenge but hesitated, give it another thought because the others in the group is so supportive and I want everyone to feel that I have just now:)

I know I've said it before, but I have to say it again; you are what have made a big difference to my trip, I could not have made it this far without you. thanks for all the comments and suggestions over the last few months, I live happier and healthier because of you.

Can I lose weight with ME / CFS? [Forum]

Six months ago I was diagnosed ME / CFS. I've been fortunate that has not left me full bed. I am becoming increasingly aware of those things that makes me worse. However, if I do not any exercise I'm prone to melancholy, for this reason is really important that go out on a regular basis. Also, was in bed for 6 months means I put more weight that I had won. ME sick often need to eat more.

I'm really struggling as I do not put weight already, but have no real possibility of perderlo.Salgo for walks as my way to lose it, but feel that never really going to happen to me.

My diet is quite simple, eat muselli breakfast (juice not milk), protein based food with vegetable meals time and carbohydrate lunch with vegetables in the night.

Any one have any suggestions on how can I lose weight? based on my ability to walk between 3-5 miles a day long will take, and even managed to lose weight??

Two-Ton French Fries Record Attempt Fails

Another day, another food-related record breaking attempt. We've had the world's longest pizza, now how about two tons of French Fries to go with that?

Sadly, or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, the Grand Forks (in North Dakota) attempt at the "World's Largest French Fry Feed" failed.

Despite the rather appropriate name, Grand Forks failed to get enough people forking up fries, as TwinCities.com reported. 4,110 pounds of fries (around 2 tons) were fried - less than the record of 4,890, set a couple of years ago.

Some might say that records are made to be broken, but is this obsession with food-related records a sign of our growing dysfunctional relationship with food? Like competitive eating, producing vast quantities of food (much of which is likely to go to waste) seems at best misguided, and at worst seriously wasteful.

Once, the records we broke were sporting ones: fastest mile, highest jump, longest throw. Let's just hope that today's kids won't grow up aiming to beat the "Biggest Burger Eaten" record...
